Cottontails Lounge

With only 6 weeks to the completion date and official opening, the Client changed the operating policy for this earlier named 'The Lounge' area. Despite having a DJ area and small dance floor, it was considered too low key and had inadequate dance floor lighting.

SDM were challenged to transform the area into a type of Private Members "Ubher Lounge"/Nightclub area and were provided with a very limited 'additional' budget to complete the transformation.

At this late stage of the development the infrastructure with regards to H&V, Sprinklers, CCTV etc was already installed and the majority of the proposed furniture and finishes were ordered but fortunately not all manufactured/delivered. SDM was instrumental in putting the layout ideas on paper regarding the type and configuration of seating, and was able to negotiate exchanges with suppliers where required.

SDM called upon the already involved expertise of The Music Company, Bradford (TMC) to not only upgrade the sound system and supply the equipment to satisfy celebrity DJ's that were forecast to perform, but to also source and install an "Effect Lighting" system. The installation of an innovative LED Ball System met the criteria for 'floods of colour' while the ability to control each LED Ball gave the operators more than they were expecting.

SDM completed the transformation and other elements of this phase of work in the timescale provided.
